Welcome to the Craig Allen Blues Band Biography

The Craig Allen Blues Band was conceived in 1998 in Klamath Falls, Oregon in a small nightclub called Father John’s Pub. It began with the singing debut of Craig Allen at a blues society jam session. It was because of his overwhelming reception that Craig began auditioning musicians …leading to assembly of the best musicians attainable in the Southern Oregon/Northern California Regions.. They have performed with some of the biggest names in the country and are widely recognized as one of the most exciting bands never discovered!

The CABB consists of 6 people with a common goal:

Our Motto: “Catch The CABB and Enjoy The Ride!

Craig Allen

Singer/Songwriter Craig Allen is at home in the recording studio or on stage. He loves huge crowds and offers an exciting show wherever he performs. His powerful sultry voice permeates from his soul and captivates his audience with a heart-felt veracity. His strongest influences were his late uncle Arlie Moore and his bluegrass-singing recording artist uncle Don Thurman of Branson, Missouri. Other influences were Roy Orbison, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ronnie Van Zant, Delbert McClinton and mentor “Muddy Award Vocalist of the Year” Lloyd Jones of Portland. Craig loves what he does …and it shows!

Tommy Sims

Tommy Sims hails from San Francisco Bay area. He is an incredible asset as drummer and background vocalist. He captures the audience's attention and dazzles his peers. Tommy has been playing professionally since he was a teenager and has worked as both a studio musician and stage performer for several internationally known performers. Tom is the Bomb!

Tom Wallenburn

Tom Wallenburn made his performing debut with his long-time friend Craig Allen in 1998. He is touted as one of the best rhythm guitar players in the region. Tom is dubbed as the man with coy attitude. He lays down the rhythm and riffs, taking care of business like a mechanic. Tom "The Wall" Wallenburn is solid as a rock!!! The band has been together almost 10 years. He's also helped with back up vocals and has always been a pleasure to work with!

Curt "The Flirt" Christian
Curt Christian has temporarily returned to the band after a two year hiatus. He rounds out the bottom end as our bass player. He's dynamic, versatile, and key player in the band. Curt has been a pro for many years and his stage presence has remained ever so animated. His thunderous riffs frequently register on the Richter scale. He is a also backup vocals.

JJ Hannum

J.J. Hannum, lead guitar and back vocals is one of those guys that will amaze even the most seasoned professional guitar player. J.J. recently moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He's been a professional guitar player for over 15 years. His musical influences have been Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Page and Pink Floyd. So, keep your distance! JJ Shreds with a capital "S" if you're ready for it!

Robert Harlow

Robert Harlow is our newest and youngest member of our band. To be able to find a great sax player in Klamath Falls is not an easy feat. Robert plays like an old soul. He's been an exceptionally quick study and came at a time when Craig didn't think he would want another sax player, but once the band heard him play, we knew that he would come to be an integral part of the band! We welcome him to our family!
